Alexandra is a psychologist working with her therapy dog, Chudley. Chudley is a large Groodle who enjoys playing, trick-training, and lots of pats or cuddles!
Alexandra has knowledge of mental health disorders across the lifespan, ranging from young children to adults. She and Chudley have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health presentations. Alexandra aims to improve the quality of life for her clients and families by empowering, educating, and exploring from a strengths-based approach. Alexandra works from an evidence-based perspective, with training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Play Therapy. Alexandra and Chudley have also completed Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) training at foundation and advanced levels.
Furthermore, Alexandra has experience in assessment and diagnosis of Mood Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Specific Learning Disorders, Functional Behaviour Assessments, and other educational, behavioural, and cognitive concerns.
Alexandra is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Psychology Board of Australia. Alexandra has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Graduate Diploma of Psychology, Master of Professional Psychology, and Master of Professional Psychology Practice.
