Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registered since 2007.
Australian Psychological Society (APS) Member since 2003.
As a registered psychologist with 16+ years’ experience, I’ve provided counselling, mental health intervention, critical incident response and training to individuals and groups in both Private and Public sector organisations Australia-wide.
My working days are currently split between Mullum Road Clinic and headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation. At Mullum Road’s Eltham clinic I offer generalist counselling and support to individuals, including NDIS clients, full-fee paying clients, and for those with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP.
I can assist individuals seeking support for a wide range of matters, including mood and adjustment issues, stress, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, as well as identity and relationship concerns.
Being strengths-based and collaborative is essential to my work and my aim is always to build a safe, empathetic, and supportive relationship from which to explore a person’s concerns, longings, needs, and goals.
I value and encourage authenticity in my interactions and like to draw on humour and lightness where appropriate. I always endeavour to be warm and inclusive with my clients through a flexible, holistic, and person-centred approach.
I am willing to assist someone for either briefer sessions or longer-term episodes of care. I also believe counselling ‘fit’ is really important, so please let our admin team know if you have any specific questions prior to booking and I’ll attempt to address these via a brief phone call or email reply.
For clients wishing to pursue more formal assessment and diagnostic services in conjunction with counselling support, we can discuss this and where possible, arrange these services to be provided for ’in-house’ with one of our clinical or provisional psychologists.
In my free time…
I like to embrace my inherent goofiness, pursue various art and craft projects and experiment with other slightly left-of-field activities (anything to keep me out of a gym!). Recent hyper-fixations have included Muppet-making, lino-printing, rock climbing, slacklining, making costumes, and my latest obsession: winter snorkelling to witness “mass congregation” marine events - spider crabs moulting, giant cuttlefish mating, seahorse spawning…. eeew! (don’t judge me!).
