Anita has completed a Masters Degree in Child and Educational Psychology, and is endorsed by the Psychology Board as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society and keeps up to date with regular and extensive professional development in a variety of areas.
Anita provides tailored evidence-based psychological treatments to children and adolescents and their families, working with a variety of issues and mental health conditions. She reflects warmth and empathy in her therapeutic approach and is skilled at engaging and working with children and adolescents. She also conducts parenting counselling tailored to your individual family situation. Anita is passionate about providing psychological interventions to improve the lives of young people and their families.
Anita is also an Animal Assisted Therapist who works with her Ragdoll cat Coco and her Therapy Dog, a Tibetan Spaniel cross named Tuffy.
Anita is a mother of two and in her spare time enjoys walking, relaxation, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
Prior Work Experiences
Anita has 17 years’ experience working in primary and secondary schools, government organizations, and private practice settings, and has also worked as a lecturer in Developmental Psychology.
