This fee structure is a guideline to help you understand the minimum cost of an assessment. The following table is for:
- Autism Spectrum
- Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
- Cognitive – IQ only
- Educational – Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia
Any additional queries - and the full cost - will be explained during the initial interview with the assessing clinician, after discussing the client’s presenting concerns.
Any questions you may have regarding the assessment are to be asked at the initial appointment.
If the client is under 16 years of age, the initial session is a Parent/Carer Only session, which can be done face to face or via phone call or zoom.
Assessment sessions cannot all be done via telehealth. This will be explained at the initial session.
Please note fees quoted are taken from Mullum Road Assessment Fee Schedule 2023 and are subject to change.
Some additional payments may be required over and above the funding provided by Medicare, Private Health Cover or NDIS.
Please check your eligibility for rebates prior to booking the initial session. Pease read through the fees before booking the assessment. We are a private clinic and do not do payment plans nor concession.

FAQ
What is the wait time for an assessment?
We are unable to give a specific time frame due to high level of enquiries.
Unfortunately, we cannot keep updating you where you are on the wait list but be assured, we will contact you when there is an assessment available. At times we may contact a group of clients on the wait list via email not phone call due to the short notice of an available appt and the time frame we have to fill the spot. If you cannot attend, please ignore the email. You will stay on the wait list.
Do we need a GP referral?
Yes, for the initial and feedback sessions if you are having the assessment with a registered psychologist and wish to claim a Medicare rebate.
Can I use NDIS funding?
Yes, if your plan allows it. Please note: the NDIS will only cover up to $214.41 of the consult cost. The out-of-pocket balance is to be paid by the client.
How much does an assessment cost?
The cost varies from client to client, depending on the length of the assessment and also if you are having a provisional or registered psychologist conducting the assessment. Please see the assessment fee table. This will be explained at the initial consult.
General Information
If you do not wish to stay on the wait list, please let us know so we can remove your name.
Please do not send your referral letter into us. We will collect it from you at your initial session.
Our wait list is for all locations and assessments get allocated in accordance with clinic availability and psychologist’s expertise, not by date of contact.
Provisional fees are less, as there is no Medicare rebate while they do not have a provider number. Provisional psychologists are supervised by a clinical psychologist.
