Brooke Kimberley

Provisional Psychologist

Brooke is an AHPRA registered provisional psychologist and is currently completing her Master of Psychology (Clinical). She holds a Bachelor of Psychology with First Class Honours.

Brooke brings extensive experience working with children and adults with disabilities across educational, community, and therapeutic settings. She has worked for over nine years as a support worker and teacher’s aide in specialist education, supporting individuals with diverse presentations including autism, ADHD, complex trauma, OCD, anxiety, and rare neurological conditions. Brooke is passionate about providing neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and person-centred care, and values collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to support meaningful outcomes.

Brooke draws on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and emotion-focused interventions to support her clients.

She has a strong interest in the therapeutic benefits of human–animal connection. Brooke has supported clients in engaging with animals as a way to build confidence, emotional regulation, and connection, and is particularly interested in integrating animal-assisted approaches into psychological practice in a safe and evidence-based way. Her own dog, Selby, is a qualified therapy dog.

Outside of her clinical work, Brooke enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and exercising, as well as playing piano, reading, engaging in creative projects, and travelling with her dog.
