Fam (she/her) is a Trainee Counsellor and a qualified Equine & Nature Assisted Learning practitioner, certified by the Equine Psychotherapy Institute in 2019. Holding a Master of Science degree in Biology, with a specialisation in Ecology, she understands the natural world and its interconnection with people on a scientific as well as a deeply somatic level.
Fam has worked with horses since she was nine years old. She collaborates with them to help clients uncover more of their authentic self and improve how they show up in the world.
Fam works in a culturally sensitive, inclusive, client-centred and trauma-informed way. She is experienced with a wide variety of clients, including those with various mental health challenges, anxiety and depression, addiction, neurodivergence, disadvantaged backgrounds, learning difficulties and trauma survivors. Fam has a special passion for working with clients from the LGBTIAQ+ community and anyone interested in self-development.
Her therapeutic approach is one of compassion, deep listening, grounded presence, empathy, and making her clients feel truly seen. She believes people heal in relationship, and animals support this process in a non-judgemental way.
Fam speaks English and Dutch.
