Jordan is a psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental). Jordan is currently completing her Educational and Developmental Endorsement. She is a provider of Psychological services with Medicare.
Jordan has experience working with all ages – children and adolescents. She passionate about working with those that identified as being on the Autism Spectrum. She has worked in a variety of schools and private practices.
Jordan places great importance on developing good rapport with her clients and providing a warm, calm, fun and empathic environment. She aims to create a respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationship using the child or young person’s interests.
She is able to assess, diagnosis and treat mental health issues. Jordan is passionate about providing evidence-based therapies and draws on a variety of psychological approaches to facilitate supportive change, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy and emotional intelligence training. Jordan aims to empower individuals to feel confident they can handle life challenges. She has a special interest in anxiety disorders as well as health related issues such as chronic illness and pain.
Jordan lives with 2 staffies which are great dogs. They enjoy long walks, swimming and mud puddles but they would not enjoy being therapy dogs. Jordan has previously had a minilop rabbit and is looking into bringing one into the therapy room. She is also waiting for the right dog to begin her animal assisted therapy journey with. In her spare time Jordan enjoys bike riding, walking, videogames and art.
