Kate Gore
Psychologist, Clinical Psychology Registrar

MPsych (Clinical), BPsych (Hons), GradDipPsych, BPPM (Hons), BA, and MAPS
I am a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and am currently completing the registrar program for endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
My approach is informed by person-centred therapy which is a non-judgemental and empathetic stance that empowers clients to identify their strengths and motivations.
I enjoy working with adults with a range of mental health presentations, with parents, and with neurodiverse clients. By May 2022, I expect to also be offering ASD, cognitive, and learning assessments.
Prior to studying psychology, I worked for 15 years in corporate communications. I was motivated to switch careers after my experience in being a mother to a neurodiverse child and my own late diagnosis as autistic.
My research area is autistic women, and I am currently a PhD candidate at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre at La Trobe University investigating supports for autistic working mothers.
