My name is Miriam, and I am a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Medicare provider of psychological services.

The foundation of my approach to therapy is my belief that individuals require a space where they feel listened to and cared for, and I endeavor to be able to bring hope and guidance to those in challenging circumstances.

As a registered psychologist, I have worked in the community and private sector for over 15 years providing therapy across the lifespan.  I work holistically to assist clients in exploring emotional, physical, spiritual and environmental factors that might be impacting their psychological well-being.

I am passionate about working with parents to support them in their parenting journey, and am also skilled and trained in working with children and adolescents. I am also experienced in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, as well as those navigating significant life changes. I also have an interest in working with couples to assist them in managing relationship difficulties, and assisting individuals navigating challenges within their family of origin.

Therapeutically, I use psychodynamic, attachment and family system frameworks to assist me in understanding the presenting challenges and to provide insight to my clients about their circumstances. I approach my sessions in an integrative way, drawing upon a range of therapeutic frameworks and therapies to provide understanding and skills to overcome challenges.

Outside of work, I am a mother to two children, both of whom were born with mild disabilities and birth defects. I am interested in holistic health and well-being, and enjoy learning and developing skills in personal development and critical thinking. I am drawn to nature and the outdoors and I find being in and enjoying nature healing and therapeutic.
