#Stop the stigma

Mullum Road Cinic would like to share some information about a short film that has recently been made by Maroondah Youth Services, in partnership with Your DNA Creative Arts, to tackle disability stigma and discrimination. The film was published on 7 Dec 2016 and is now available online…


This film titled ‘Different yet the Same’ is aimed at tackling disability stigma and discrimination told through the voices of young people. The film was made as a direct response to consultation with young people who identified that they had experienced or witnessed disability discrimination and wanted something to be done about it.
The film was officially launched at Realm with family members, friends and supporters. Realm is a local and contemporary facility used for educational, creative and flourishing development of Maroondah and Melbourne’s East region.
