Welcome 2016

Mullum Road Clinic Psychologists and our helpful staff are looking forward to a new and exciting year ahead. We are happy to share news and updates about our clinic from this year, so far. We farewell one of our Psychologists and welcome new Psychologists joining our clinic. We also have a gorgeous, new therapy dog that has joined a human–canine team.

We wish Jennifer Rogers (Clinical Psychologist) well in the future, as she joins an interstate practice. We thank her for being part of our team at Mullum Road Clinic Psychologists.

Sarah Brcan, Psychologist, Mullum Road Clinic PsychologistSarah Brcan (Psychologist) has joined our team at Mullum Road Clinic Psychologists and is trained in Clinical Neuropsychology. Sarah’s background in neuropsychology allows her to modify therapy programs for individuals who have cognitive and neurological conditions. Upon completing a Master of Clinical Neuropsychology, Sarah worked as a School Psychologist, providing counselling and cognitive assessments to children and adolescents, as well as parenting strategies and family counselling. Sarah then moved into private practice, providing counselling and assessment. Sarah provides assessments and has personal experiences with individuals on the spectrum (Autism Spectrum Disorders) that have fuelled her passion in this area of psychology. Consulting with children, adolescents, families and parents. Sarah attended the Mullum Road Clinic 2015 Christmas lunch.

Dr_Candice_Loopstra (2)Dr. Candice Loopstra (Clinical Psychologist) will be joining our clinic in March 2016.
Candice completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours from the University of Queensland, and a Doctorate of Psychology (Clinical) from the Queensland University of Technology. She has also published and presented in her research in professional settings. Candice moved to Melbourne in 2015. Candice specialises in the assessment and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Trauma, including childhood developmental trauma, emergency, military services related trauma and more. She has experience in private and public community health services providing assessment and treatment of individuals and families across the lifespan and from a variety of personal and cultural backgrounds. Candice consults with children, adolescents, adults, parents and families.

Animal Assisted Therapy, Dog, Milo, Mullum Road Clinic PsychologistTess Shashyan (Psychologist) and our new Therapy Dog Milo are working together at the Clinic, as a team. Tess had been waiting for the perfect rescue dog to join the Mullum Road Clinic canine team. Tess and Milo are happy to join the AAT Human-Canine Team at Mullum Road Clinic Psychologists.
